The heatless adsorption design ensures continuous drying by alternating between adsorption vessels, allowing one vessel to dry the compressed air while the other undergoes regeneration.
For systems with variable operating pressures or fluctuating air demand, the KE-MT Series can be equipped with Dew Point Dependent Switching (DDS). This optional energy-saving feature uses a dew point sensor installed at the dryer outlet to monitor air quality. The system only switches vessels when the required dew point threshold is reached, extending drying cycles and significantly reducing unnecessary purge air consumption, resulting in improved energy efficiency and lower operating costs.
Where applications require compressed air that is not only dry but also free from oil vapours and odours, Parker offers the KEA-MT configuration, which incorporates a third vessel filled with activated carbon. This additional stage removes oil vapours and hydrocarbons, making the system suitable for industries with strict air purity requirements such as laboratories, food processing, beverage production, and pharmaceutical manufacturing.
