The DD15, DD30 and DD60 Inline Desiccant Dryers provide a compact and cost-effective solution for removing damaging moisture from intermittent pneumatic applications. Designed for reliability and efficiency, these dryers use silica gel desiccant to reduce humidity levels to a pressure dew point of -40°F (-40°C), protecting sensitive pneumatic equipment from corrosion, contamination, and reduced performance.
As compressed air enters the dryer, it passes through a bed of silica gel desiccant which absorbs moisture vapour and aerosols. The dried air then flows through a sintered bronze filter element that prevents desiccant dust from travelling downstream before exiting through the outlet port.
A built-in sight glass allows easy monitoring of desiccant condition. When the silica gel beads change colour from green to orange, the desiccant has reached saturation and should be replaced. Replacement is quick and straightforward by removing the flange and bowl and refilling with new desiccant.
For optimal performance and extended desiccant life, a bulk separator, particulate filter and coalescing filter should always be installed upstream, along with a check valve at the dryer inlet. These inline dryers are specifically designed for intermittent pneumatic use rather than continuous duty applications.
